We are so proud of Madelyn! Back in August, Caroline won the Stone Award for her school. This week, Madelyn won. Each day a different child wins the award. Madelyn got a certificate from her teacher that said she won because "she is always doing the right thing at school and for giving everything 110%"! What more could we wish for?
She got to say the pledge at the beginning of school, get a special gift from the principal and sit at a special table at lunch time.
I just love Madelyn's heart. I was able to go eat lunch with her and she picked two friends to eat with us. One was a close friend of hers, the other little girl is someone who does not have many friends. She has behavior problems and is the "bad kid". Madelyn wanted to choose her because no one else ever picks her for anything. Seriously, there is nothing that could make me more proud as a mom! We love you Madelyn and are so pleased with the precious young lady you are becoming!

Yeah Madelyn! What a sweet child to not only pick that little girl but also to recognize that no one ever picks her. Her sweet and caring heart reminds me a lot of her mother (:
