Today I am hoping to catch up the blog! I've got a couple more California posts and then of course Christmas and New Years! We went to Disneyland two times while we were gone. The first time was wonderful, the second time - well, not so much. Sometimes you have a day that is totally miserable but you know that one day you will laugh about it - that was our second day at Disney. It rained and rained and poured and the wind blew and we were soaked down to our underpants! It was horrible but funny now that we look back. We definitely have some funny family memories from that day. : )
One of the great things from the rainy day - Breakfast with the Princesses in Ariel's Grotto!
Silas gave EVERY princess a big hug - so cute!
With Ariel in her grotto - the breakfast was wonderful. We met Cinderella, Ariel, Snow White, Belle and Sleeping Beauty. The food was amazing and everyone pigged out! Disney is awesome with food allergies - they made Caroline her own special breakfast.
It was fun going in December - the decorations were beautiful
Before the rain in front of the Sleeping Beauty castle
Even though it was rainy, the park was still busy. We had poncho's which helped a little, but we were all still soaked! We were ringing out our socks and our shoes were so squishy. My jeans were so wet they would hardly stay up! Madelyn was a trooper and did not want to leave but after riding It's a Small World in the torrential rain she even decided it was time to go - lol! The park was closing so many of the rides due to the pouring rain and they were canceling all the night time light shows. We made it until about 4:00 and were so thankful for the great first day we had.
Now pictures from our first day -
Ready to start the day!
Silas did really well at Disney. On the way there he was excited and for him excitement = meltdown. After keeping him very close and lots of reassuring him he was able to calm down and enjoy himself.
Jellyfish ride in CA Adventures - Madelyn got very brave this time! We were able to do more rides since Silas was tall enough and Madelyn was not afraid - fun!
Madelyn driving her own car
What a cute toy!
King Triton's Carousel
Caroline on her seahorse
Happy boy!
Toy Story 3D ride
Looking cool
On Mickey's Fun Wheel - a giant Farris wheel
Swings - Madelyn had a crying fit last time and did not ride. So proud of her for being brave this trip!
More cute Christmas touches
World of Color water/light show - the pictures do not show how awesome it was! It was amazing!
