Sightseeing

My pictures loaded backwards, but I am too tired to fix them!  We had a wonderful day today in San Francisco.  It was cool out but the rain held off all day.  We saw so much of the city, the kids were angels and we had so much fun.  This pic is of the girls looking out into the bay - if you look very closely you can see the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.
Ghirardelli Square - a neat shopping place with lots of chocolate!  the Ghirardelli factory used to be located here, but has moved.
 Pumpkin Hot Chocolate - YUMMY!

We rode the cable car three times.  It was fun!  One time to China Town, then downtown and then back to Ghirardelli Square
In China Town, we ate at a authentic Chinese restaurant.  It was a small little hole in the wall, but was very tasty!  I think we were the only non-Asians in the place.  The kids chowed down.
Madelyn LOVED the food.  She pigged out!  Here she is eating noodles with chopsticks of course.
Chinese food is mainly dairy free so CJ was able to enjoy.  Praising God that she felt much better today!  No fever and she had energy to enjoy the day.

View down the street from the cable car - it is VERY hilly in SF
We went into Boudin which is the first SF Sourdough bread bakery.  We toured the bakery and were able to watch the bread being made.  It is so good.  The kids got to meet Santa while we were there.  On our way home, we stopped back in to get some clam chowder in sour dough bread bowls for dinner.  Yum.
Our first stop for the day was Fisherman's Wharf.  We had fun walking around and seeing the sights.
Sea lions!  We enjoyed watching the sea lions at Fisherman's Wharf and listening to them bark at each other.
 Alcatraz in the background
Pier 39 right near Fisherman's Wharf - lots of little shops and restaurants
