We are loving the West Coast sunsets over the ocean - beautiful!
On Sunday and Monday we had a heat wave. It was wonderful - 80+ degrees! We enjoyed some beach time. The kids got wet but the water was FREEZING.
Our beach babe
Madelyn loves the ocean - she ran up and down searching for shells
Silas had fun playing in the sand
Enjoying the sun
You can see the pier in the background
Caught by a wave - burr
Sunday night was the Manhattan Beach Christmas Celebration. They had a great fireworks show off the pier which we were able to watch from our deck. The house next to us had been setting up all day for a huge party. A rental company spent hours unloading things and setting them up. The is a picture of the big event - we had so much fun people watching! The lady in the red in the middle of the picture was one of several hired dancers to get the party started! It was funny and we enjoyed watching and listening to the LOUD music. : )
Joining in the party fun - dancing to the music from our deck - complete with PJ's!
We have seen many dolphins! If you look closely you can see on in the middle of the picture
Our rental house - it is 4 different apartments. We are staying in the top left one.
The area we are staying is filled with multi-million dollar homes. The house next to us rents for $30,000 per month. Crazy. This is just a picture of one of many huge beach front homes.
A look down The Strand where we are staying. The sidewalk is a jogging/walking path
And one more sunset picture, just because!

Hey, Cara
Do you happen to have the listing information on your condo? If you wouldn't mind facebooking me, that would be wonderful. Narrowing down our options and need to get something booked this weekend!
How is Silas doing? He appears to be doing great!!
Enjoy the warm weather - Snow Day #3 here!!
Heat wave for you, ice storm for us! You're missing some wonderful weather here.
What kind of dance moves is Jason teaching your children? I remember him to be a better dancer than that!
Those homes are beautiful. I love the picture of The Strand. Can you imagine one of those actually being your home? Is this the same place you stayed the first time?
Oh, what a great time (I know it's not been all fun!) but the worse is far behind. It appears Silas is "on the road" and the girls, as well as mom & dad, look like you are making the VERY best of the trip! The rental, area, beach, party next door, all look amazing!
